Ruidoso Municipal School District Mission Statement:
RMSD in partnership with students, families and the community, ensures a rigorous and relevant student-centered learning environment that cultivates character, fosters academic excellence and embraces diversity.


Ruidoso Municipal School District Vision Statement:

Mr. Greg Cory

President

Greg Lee Cory was elected to the school board in February, 2013. He previously served elected office as a council member for the Village of Ruidoso. Mr. Cory has been a full-time Ruidoso resident since 2001. His community involvement includes board memberships with Help End Abuse for Life (HEAL). Cemetery Board of the Village of Ruidoso and the Rotary Club. He is a past president of the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce and was founding chairman of Leadership Lincoln. He and his wife have three daughters and four grandchildren.

Ms. Gina Klinekole

Vice President

Gina Klinekole is an enrolled member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe. She was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico, but raised in Indian Creek (Three Rivers, New Mexico). She graduated from Tularosa High School and is an alumnus of New Mexico State University - Las Cruces, New Mexico. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies and a master's degree in educational management and development. She has been a resident of Ruidoso for almost nine years. Currently, she is employed with the Inn of Mountain Gods Resort & Casino in the Human Resources department. she two daughters who are also graduates of NMSU - Las Cruces, New Mexico. She has three adorable grandchildren, in which one will be a freshman with Ruidoso High School. She is very proud to say that her late mother (Virginia Klinekole) was the 1st chairwoman of the Mescalero Apache Tribe and her late father (Bruce Klinekole I) was a POW/survivor of the Bataan Death March.

Mr. Rafael "Rifle" Salas

Member

Born in Ruidoso in 1963, Rifle grew up in neighboring Alamagordo, NM. After graduating high school he served in the U.S. Navy, and then returned to Ruidoso in 1983 to work as a laborere for Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Department. He became director of the Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Department in 1997 and served 11 years in that position.

He was appointed to the NM Public Employee Retirement Association (PERA) board in Febraury 2002 serving ten months. He was then elected to serve on the Ruidoso School Board from 2005-2010.

Rifle was elected to the Village Council in March 2010. Having worked his entire career for the Village of Ruidoso (VOR), he is dedicated to the residents and visitors of Ruidoso School District. He serves as Associate Pastor at Grace Harvest Church. He is married to Shippen Davis and has tree children and four grandchildren.
