Dr. Bea Etta Harris
Superintendent
Bea was born and reared in New Mexico, graduating from Tatum High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Oregon, her master's in Special Education, an Educational Specialist Certificate in Administration, and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico.
Bea has been in the field of education for most of her adult life. She has two children, a son and a daughter. Both her son and daughter graduated from high school in Albuquerque and later earned bachelor degrees from the University of New Mexico before working for advanced degrees elsewhere.
Bea served the last two years as Principal of the Nob Hill Early Childhood Center before being named Superintendent. She comes with a commitment to quality public education and pledges to support the staff of RMSD to be the best they can be for the students of this district.

Patty White
Associate Superintendent
Patty earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas in Arlington. She completed her master's degree in Education Administration at Eastern New Mexico University. She has 15 years of experience in education. Her administration experience includes Director of Sierra Montessori Elementary School, Director of Instructional Support for the Ruidoso Schools, and Associate Superintendent. In her current position, she supervises Bilingual Education, Reading First, Indian Education, Gavilan Canyon School, Federal programs, Testing, and Professional Development.

Ms. Dorothy Irion
Director of Finance
Dorothy attended New Mexico State University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Finance and a Bachelor of Accountancy. She has 13 years of school business experience and holds a Level II School Business Official License. Dorothy was previously employed by the Las Cruces School District as Controller and is originally from Roswell, New Mexico. She is committed to providing quality, professional services to our customers in support of the district’s educational programs.
